Megan Lavin
M.A, LAPC, and LPCA
Hello! My name is Megan Lavin, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate under the supervision of Mrs. Karen Johnson. I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Midwestern State University in 2024. As a military child who grew up moving frequently, I have a special passion for working with active-duty service members, veterans, and their families. I also have experience supporting children (ages 8+), adolescents, adults, and families navigating a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and relational challenges. My therapeutic approach is person-centered and draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). I strive to create a safe and collaborative space where we can explore challenges, build on your strengths, and develop practical strategies that fit your life. I am certified in anger management and substance abuse, and I commonly support clients facing life transitions, behavioral issues, emotional difficulties, work stress, school struggles, and addiction. Therapy is a collaborative process. You don’t have to face life’s challenges alone—I am here to walk alongside you as we work toward maximizing your quality of life. Outside of the counseling room, I enjoy knitting, crocheting, reading, watching dramas, spending time with friends and family, and visiting the mountains.
Rebecca Nalley
Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A), MA, LAPC
About Me
My name is Rebecca (Becky)
Nalley, Licensed Associate Professional Counselor (LAPC) in Georgia and Licensed
Professional Counselor Associate (LPCA) in South Carolina. I know how
overwhelming life can feel at times—whether you’re a child learning to manage
big emotions, a teen facing pressures at school, or an adult struggling with
depression, anxiety, or life transitions. My goal is to provide a safe and
supportive space where you or your child can feel understood, let your guard
down, and begin the process of healing.
My Approach
I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients recognize and
shift unhelpful thought patterns, along with a person-centered approach that
emphasizes compassion, empathy, and collaboration. With children, I often
incorporate creative or play-based strategies; with teens and adults, we focus
on practical coping skills and personal strengths. I also offer the option of
incorporating Christian principles into therapy if desired—while ensuring that
all clients, regardless of background, feel welcomed and respected.
Who I Work With
I work with children (ages 5+), teens, and adults
experiencing depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, stress, or difficult life
changes. Many of my clients come to me feeling stuck or overwhelmed, and
together we find healthy ways to cope, build resilience, and move toward a more
hopeful future.
Background
I earned my B.S. in Psychology from Middle Georgia
State University and my M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty
University. I am also a Certified SYMBIS (Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts)
Assessment Facilitator. My passion for helping others began early as the
daughter of a pastor, where faith and service to others were a daily part of
life.
Beyond the Office
When I’m not counseling, you’ll likely find me
at the beach, crafting, or spending time with my children and grandson. I love
creating personalized items for my Etsy shop in my spare time—a reminder that
creativity and meaning can be found in the little things. My hope is that, just
as I find fulfillment in what I love, you’ll find success, peace, and joy in
your own journey, too.
Sean Mitchell
MS, Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A)
My name is Sean Mitchell, and I bring a unique blend of life experience, education, and training into my work as a counselor. I hold a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and am an Associate Licensed Professional Counselor in South Carolina. I have also completed Level 1 and Level 2 training in the Gottman Method Couples Therapy, an evidence-based approach that informs my work with families and relationships. Before becoming a counselor, I proudly served for twenty years in the United States Army, including with the 2nd Ranger Battalion and various Infantry units. My time in service taught me the value of resilience, leadership, and the importance of strong interpersonal skills. These lessons now shape the way I support parents and their children in navigating life’s challenges. Along the way, I earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology, laying the groundwork for my transition into the counseling field. During graduate school, I was inducted into multiple honor societies, including Phi Chi, Omega Nu Lambda, and the National Society of Leadership and Success. My counseling approach is rooted in evidence-based practices and a belief that every family has the potential to grow stronger. I am particularly passionate about working with parents and their children, helping them address communication struggles, manage behavioral concerns, reduce anxiety, and navigate difficult transitions. My goal is to create a safe and supportive environment where families can develop healthier connections and thrive together. Outside of counseling, I value family, fitness, and continued personal growth. In addition to my clinical work, I am a Certified Personal Trainer and Certified Nutritionist, which allows me to integrate wellness and holistic health into my overall approach to helping others. I am committed to supporting individuals and families in building resilience, improving relationships, and discovering practical strategies to live more fulfilling lives.
