Many lives have been touched, changed and empowered by the unique skills and strategies offered at WOL. WOL is rising in its area as a leading facility to provide mental and behavioral health treatment to children, adolescents, adults and families.

This is Terry B. Miller. His hometown is Augusta, GA. He has a Master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, and he is near the completion of his Doctorate degree in Organizational Leadership. He is also a certified trainer for the 'Love & Logic' Institute which promotes Positive Parenting methods using Logic and Love principles. Mr. Miller considers himself to be a Motivational Life Coach. He has been providing behavioral and mental health services for 20 years, and is the founder and CEO of Word of Life Behavioral Health, LLC. Mr. Miller started WOL out of a passion to help those with mental health and behavioral challenges. Mr. Miller believes that he has a gift of helping children, adolescence, and adults. He strives to make sure that the company provides the highest level of Clinical Care. His ultimate goal is to provide a comprehensive clinical practice that is able to treat all mental and behavioral disorders.
This is Karen Alvenia Johnson. Her hometown is Bronx, NY, but she currently lives in North Augusta, SC. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Counselor Education and a Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling both from South Carolina State University. She is also a certified LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) in both South Carolina and Georgia. She has been providing behavioral and mental health counseling services for 36 years. Ms. Johnson started working at WOL when she was recruited by Mr. Terry Miller to be the co-founder. She strives to make sure all clinical operations are at optimal levels, and she has a great joy for helping clients by determining their mental health and behavioral needs. Her ultimate goal is to see the company achieve a high level of success before retiring.
This is Delicia “Dee” Wise. Her home state is Georgia, but she has lived in South Carolina for 10 years. She has a Master’s degree in Professional Counseling, and her specialties are maternal mental health (post-partum), HIV+ counseling, and adolescence counseling. Although, she just started working at WOL in August of 2017, she has been providing behavioral and mental health counseling services for 10 years. Every day, she strives to make sure that she is effectively treating her clients’ mental health and behavioral needs, and she enjoys working with individuals from all “walks of life”. Her ultimate goal is to see long term substantial growth in troubled teenagers.
This is Laura Mason. Her hometown is Aiken, South Carolina. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Management and a Master’s degree in Individual Family Development, and she specializes in Marriage and Family Therapy. She is a certified Licensed Professional Counselor and has received training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She started working with WOL in January of this year but see has been providing behavioral and mental health counseling services for 14 years. Daily, she makes sure that she is providing the best possible service in psycho-education and inter-agency services. Her ultimate goal is to “change and grow” as a person and as a counselor through, WOL.
This is Norma Robinson and she is from Columbus, Ohio. She currently resides in Columbia, South Carolina but has been working at Word of Life Behavioral Health for almost since August of 2016. She has a Bachelors of Arts in Social and Behavioral Science and a Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She, also, has a LPC-I Certification to practice Marriage, Family and Mental Health Counseling. Ms. Robinson has over 2 years of experience in working with adults, teenagers and children. Most of her daily tasks at Word of Life include proving counseling services to her clients and ensuring that proper record keeping and file maintenance procedures are followed. Some of the things that she like best about working at Word of Life are her constant dealings with the clients and watching the clients make breakthroughs and create positive changes in their own lives. Some of Ms. Robinson's long-term goals are to attain a full LPC license and to begin making a way for her to eventually have my own mental health counseling business.
This is Paul Homeyer. His hometown is Fort Worth Texas, but he currently lives in Augusta, GA. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Texas A&M University and a Master's Degree in Counseling from Columbia International University. He is also a certified LPC-I and has received training in working with couples and children with behavioral issues. He started working at WOL in May of 2016 and has been offering his services as a counselor for 2 years. He decided to work for WOL after the CEO, Mr. Terry Miller, made a positive impression on him about the company and its values, and it seemed like a company that really cared for its clientele. His daily tasks as a mental health professional include seeing clients for therapy and working to help them improve themselves and their lives. He’s also responsible for keeping his client files up to date and in compliance with insurance standards. What he likes best about working at WOL is the freedom to manage his own schedule and the atmosphere of the place in general; he feels that the people are all friendly and the attitude of the company is good for the profession they're in. Paul’s ultimate goal is to become fully licensed as a LPC, then to obtain a LPC-S license. At some point once he gains a full license, he wants to move on to a PhD level program so that he can contribute more to the community while maintaining his LPC.
